  18. With sound enabled, Martian Memorandum runs very slowly.
  19.  
  20. CAUSE
  21. =====

  23. This problem is due to the fact that Martian Memorandum speeds up the
  24. timer to 16.5 kilohertz (KHz). Windows NT is trapping all interrupts,
  25. and therefore this causes very slow playing.

  27. WORKAROUND
  28. ==========

  30. To avoid this slowdown, disable the sound.

  35. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version
  36. 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information
  37. here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
